ZŁOMBOL is a charity rally that first took place in 2007. Since the beginning, the main goal of the rally was not to get to the finish line but rather to help orphaned children. This was the 16th edition of the charity car rally - ZŁOMBOL. And this time was the ALBANIA EDITION.
The ZŁOMBOL Charity Rally is a legendary rally edition with cars from the old Eastern Bloc. Polonezy, Fiaty 126p, Żuki, Nysy, Trabants, Wartburgs and “motorcycles with a soul” set off on September 3, 2022, from Chorzów, and three days later they reached 1.5 thousand kilometers further south, to seaside town of Kavaje in Albania.
To be able to take part in the rally – it was not enough to have only “scrap” to drive. Each of the participants of the 16th edition had to obtain PLN 2,022 of the entry fee. One of the participants of the last rally was our company colleague – Lucyna Dunajska with her Polonez from 1994. Her team called Z1FSO consisted of her and Tomek. And since she was there, we couldn’t miss it! We contributed to the entry fee and we were glad that we could help children from orphanages in such a simple way.
Thanks to the wonderful donators and over 950 registered teams, the total amount collected in the 16th edition of ZŁOMBOL 2022 was PLN 2,997,962. The entire value was donated to orphanages in Poland. The collected funds were used to buy household appliances, furniture, bicycles, school and development supplies, educational courses, and summer camps. In addition, since March 2022, 35 orphanages have received psychological and psychotherapeutic support throughout Poland. Over 200 children and over 150 people from orphanage staff benefited from therapy and various forms of psychological support.
We are glad that, as Epcido, we were able to support such a unique and special initiative for children.
