End-to-end commissioning of automation systems

Scope of commissioning activities

Pre-commissioning

Review of project documentation and wiring diagrams
Verification of panel installation, cabling, and grounding
Power-on checks of PLCs, drives, and network devices

I/O and loop checks

Point-to-point verification of digital and analog signals
Testing sensors, actuators, and field devices against P&ID or functional specifications
Validation of safety circuits (E-stops, light curtains, interlocks)

PLC and HMI software commissioning

Downloading and parameterizing control programs
Functional testing of sequences, alarms, and interlocks
Integration with HMIs, SCADA, and higher-level MES/ERP if required

System integration & network testing

PROFINET/PROFIBUS/ AS-i / and other industrial communication systems diagnostics and validation
Drive and motion commissioning (frequency converters, servo systems)
Communication with third-party equipment

FAT / SAT procedures

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) before shipment, together with the client
Site Acceptance Test (SAT) under real operating conditions
Documentation of deviations and corrective actions

Final handover

Performance testing and optimization

Delivery of as-built documentation and test reports
